About Us

The Indianapolis Uplift Foundation is a community-driven organization founded in 2007 by members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Our mission is simple yet powerful: strengthening underserved communities through Financial Literacy, Economic Development, and Educational Programs. We believe that empowerment begins with opportunity, and we work tirelessly to uplift individuals and families across Indianapolis.

Through our Lamplighters Mentoring Program, we provide guidance, leadership, and academic support to young men at Westlane Middle School, Tindley High School, and city-wide mentoring at the Music Collective.

We invest in scholarship programs, awarding $5,000 annually, along with dedicated scholarships like the Tyrelle Collins Memorial Scholarship, Troy Crayton Memorial Scholarship and donations to the Mozel Sanders Foundation to support education and community enrichment.

Our commitment to education shines through our sponsorships of Black College Fairs, Robotics Competitions, and Innovation Fairs, ensuring access to transformative experiences for local youth.

To fuel these initiatives, we host fundraising events that bring the community together, including the Jerry Hoagland Memorial Golf Tournament, Indy Summer Soiree, and QuePid Ball Fundraiser.

At the Indianapolis Uplift Foundation, we don’t just talk about change—we create it. We are building brighter futures, one program, one student, and one family at a time.

We invite you to join us in this mission, whether as a mentor, donor, or supporter.

Together, we uplift. Together, we lead. Together, we thrive.
